Day 2

Arrived safely in leamington spa - bedraggled and like a drowned rat - rained all day! The scheduled 60 miles turned into 75 as I spent a good hour trying to find an alternative to the A38 kamikaze bypass in Birmingham - to no avail! I had to negotiate about 5 miles of dual carriageway with lorries whizzing past my ear! As mike Harding used to say "they should put red lamps and ropes around Birmingham with a sign 'beware - hole in the world' lol.
