Day 7

Seemed a long haul from Lion d'Angers to Chinon. Followed the mighty Loire river most of the way (in the rain ) but arrived in sunshine. Quickly put my tent up and went to the town where there was a festival taking place. One or two strange characters knocking about (see pic) but some lovely food and locl wine on offer.
Came across this bar in the centre of Saumur - those scousers get everywhere!
